Privacy policy
Open your gates. No ads. No accounts. Your saved numbers stay on your phone.
Effective 27 September 2026 · Android app: com.confus.limenvo
What the app stores
Limenvo stores your gate names and phone numbers, IN and OUT sequences, delays, widget choices, favourite routes, SIM choice, confirmation preference and demo setting locally on your device. It also keeps the last 50 Limenvo runs, including gate names, timestamps and call progress, on your device. These records are created by Limenvo; it does not read Android's call history. It does not send this saved data to us. Limenvo has no advertising SDKs or developer-operated servers. Versions from 0.3.0-test3 use MapLibre and OpenStreetMap as described below.
Phone calls and permissions
When you start a gate or sequence, Limenvo uses Android to call the numbers you chose. Your mobile provider and the gate operator may process the dialled number, your caller ID and call details under their own privacy policies. Normal call charges may apply. Android or your phone app may keep a call history.
- Phone calls: to dial your saved gates.
- Answer phone calls (optional): to end a gate call after the timer you set. Limenvo does not use this permission to answer incoming calls.
- Phone numbers (optional): on Android 12 and later, Android requires this permission to show SIM calling-account labels in the SIM chooser. Limenvo does not save or send your own SIM phone number.
- Phone state: to detect when a call ends and when it is safe to continue a sequence.
- Notifications: to show sequence progress and a stop control.
- Foreground service and wake lock: to keep a short sequence running while the screen is off.
If you choose a gate number from your phone book, Android's contact picker gives Limenvo access to the phone number you select. Limenvo does not request access to your full address book or read your SMS messages or call history. The selected number is saved locally only when you save the gate. It does not record calls. Optional GPS tracking uses location as described below. You can revoke permissions in Android settings; calling features will then be unavailable.
GPS zones and gate markers
You can draw a nine-point inside zone and save gate positions, approach distances, a sequence and trigger preferences on your phone. Limenvo uses precise location when you choose My position and while GPS tracking is enabled. It determines IN or OUT from the side you approached from. An optional Android Auto only setting checks the car connection before allowing a trigger.
You manually start GPS tracking. From version 0.3.0, tracking has no time limit. A visible foreground service checks location even with the screen off. Live fixes are used to detect approach; Limenvo does not store a travel history or send your saved zones, gate numbers or route library to us. Stop tracking in the app or notification. Tracking does not restart automatically after a phone restart or if Android stops the app. Turning location off or changing routes stops tracking. The app does not request background location permission.
Automatic calling is optional. Your confirmation preference still applies outside Demo mode. Delete zones in the app or clear app storage to remove saved coordinates. Zones, gate markers and legacy spots are not included in exported backups. Legacy IN/OUT spots remain locally after upgrading but no longer trigger.
Maps (0.3.0-test3 and later)
The editor uses MapLibre to display OpenStreetMap street tiles. No map account or API key is required. When you view an uncached area, the app requests its map tiles from tile.openstreetmap.org. The tile service receives your IP address, the map areas requested and an application identifier. These requests can reveal the area you are viewing, including your current position if you centre the map there.
Tiles are cached on your phone to reduce repeat downloads. Only maps viewed in the editor are requested; the GPS trigger service does not load maps. Limenvo does not upload your gate numbers, sequence library or saved zone document to the map provider. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors.
The earlier 0.3.0-test2 build included Google Maps support. That SDK is removed in test3. If you use a map-enabled test2 build, Google's map requests and SDK data handling remain subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your saved settings remain on your device until you remove them. Delete sequences and gates in the app, or clear the app's storage or uninstall it to remove all its local data. Remove a gate from its sequences before deleting it. Limenvo excludes its saved settings from Android cloud backup and device transfer. Deleting app data does not delete records kept by your phone app, mobile provider or gate operator.
Backups and recent runs
If you export a backup, Limenvo writes your gate numbers, routes, timings, favourites and calling preferences to the location you choose using Android's file picker. A cloud storage provider you select may receive that file under its own privacy policy. Backup files are not encrypted by Limenvo. SIM choices, widget assignments, GPS spots and recent runs are not included. After restoring, choose SIMs and configure widgets again.
You can clear recent runs in Settings. Clearing app storage or uninstalling does not delete backup files you exported; delete those separately from their saved location. Recent runs report call progress, not whether a gate physically opened.
